From early childhood through middle grades, our offerings invite children and families to learn, explore, and grow through nature, the arts, practical experiences, and community life.
Each family’s journey is unique. We welcome conversations about your child’s interests and your family’s needs to explore the opportunities that may be the best fit.
For expectant parents and families with children ages 0–3
A welcoming space for parents and young children to connect, share, and grow together during the earliest years of family life.
Inspired by Waldorf principles, Child in Arms brings families together through gentle rhythms, seasonal songs, nature exploration, shared snacks, meaningful conversations, and simple handwork.
A nurturing experience that offers connection, support, and a sense of belonging for both parent and child.
Child in Arms
Ages 3–6
Kinderforest offers a gentle, nature-based early childhood experience where learning unfolds through play, rhythm, storytelling, creativity, and meaningful work.
Children grow through three developmental groups:
Buttercups | Ages 3–4
A nurturing introduction to learning through play, imagination, and connection with nature.
Hawthorns | Ages 5–6
A rich early childhood experience that encourages independence, creativity, and growing confidence.
Golden Hawthorns | Ages 5–6
A transitional program for children in their final year before first grade, offering a deeper Waldorf-inspired curriculum and opportunities for outdoor exploration.
Flexible 3-, 4-, and 5-day options vary by group.
Kinderforest
Our Waldorf-inspired Grades and Middle Grades programs bring together academic learning, creativity, movement, and meaningful experiences in nature.
Through a thoughtful balance of core curriculum, artistic work, and outdoor exploration, students develop curiosity, confidence, critical thinking, and a deeper connection to the world around them.
Grades & Middle Grades
Four core curriculum days, with an optional Friday experience.
Students explore mathematics, science, reading, and writing through classroom, homestead, and forest learning. Songs, mythology, handwork, and theatre bring creative expression into the academic day.
Throughout the week, children engage in storytelling, artistic work, movement, and hands-on experiences that strengthen their academic foundations while nurturing curiosity and imagination.
Families may choose a four-day program or extend their week with Farm & Forest Friday, a day devoted to practical, earth-based learning through farming, building, herbalism, cooking, and seasonal study.
Grades Program (1st–4th)
Four core curriculum days, with additional Friday learning opportunities.
Students deepen their understanding of mathematics, science, history, literature, and writing through focused Main Lesson blocks, research, experiments, and creative expression.
Mondays bring learning outdoors through field studies, ecology, practical skills, and community experiences.
Fridays focus on Math, Movement & Cyber Civics, strengthening academic foundations, physical development, and responsible digital citizenship.
Middle Grades (5th–8th)
Additional opportunities to explore, create, and grow.
Farm & Forest Friday | Grades 1–4
A day of hands-on, nature-based learning through farming, building, herbalism, cooking, and seasonal exploration.
Focus Friday | Middle Grades
A dedicated day for mathematics, movement, and Cyber Civics. Students strengthen academic skills, develop physical confidence, and explore digital citizenship, media literacy, and responsible technology use.
Friday participation is available as an additional option, depending on the program and availability.
