About Heartsong
A community rooted in reverence, rhythm, and relationship
Heartsong is a nature-based, Waldorf-inspired learning community dedicated to nurturing the whole child — head, heart, and hands. We believe childhood is sacred, and that learning unfolds most deeply through meaningful relationships with people, place, and purpose.
At Heartsong, children are not rushed. They are met with reverence, curiosity, and trust as they grow into themselves.
Our Philosophy
We honor the innate wisdom of childhood. Through rhythm, storytelling, time in nature, creative play, and practical work, children develop not only academic skills, but empathy, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging.
We celebrate children’s ancestries and cultural roots, weaving respect, justice, and reconciliation into daily life through subtle moral teaching and community care.
Our Community Model
Heartsong operates as a Private Membership Association (PMA) through a Community Supported Education (CSE) model.
Much like a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), families commit to mutually supporting the education of all children in the community. This structure allows us to remain relationship-centered rather than institution-centered.
We are not a conventional school or childcare facility. We are a family-centered learning community offering educational programming for children and adults rooted in shared values, participation, and care.
Meet the Teachers
Behind every rhythm, lesson, and festival are the dedicated teachers who hold the heart of this community.
Who We Serve
Our programs span early childhood through middle grades, including:
• Kinderforest (Ages 3–6)
• Grades & Middle Grades Program (1st–8th Grade)
• Homeschool Hybrid
• Seasonal Festivals, Camps, & Enrichment Programs
Beyond the classroom, our community gathers through potlucks, seasonal celebrations, shared work, and meaningful connection.
