Grades

In the setting of a class room, a homestead and forest, children will engage all of their senses in understanding themselves, the world around them, and stretching and growing their innate capacities. Our educators offer lessons on age appropriate themes.

GRADES WALDORF CURRICULUM

There are no text books, rather each child artfully and carefully creates main lesson books as they come to embody the information presented by the teacher. Songs, mythology, math, science, language arts, handwork, plays, unstructured play, farm work and movement bring grade/age appropriate themes to life within the child. Educators teach to the whole child from their own ensouled understanding of the curriculum. Mornings are dedicated to movement and main lessons. Afternoons are focused on handwork, music and practical skills.

Waldorf Curriculum Only Program is from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Tuesday-Thursday.

Farm & Forest Friday/Homeschool Support: Fridays are learning in action. Children will be attending to the life of the farm and forest learning skills that provide practical application of math, science, languages, art and more. This skill based program brings children into relationship with the seasons through primitive skills, farming, earth based education, stories, building, herbalism, cooking and more. Lessons take place mostly outside and in the shop. Children’s activities follow seasonally and developmentally appropriate themes.

Farm and Forest Friday is on Fridays from 9 am - 3 pm. There are drop in options for this program for members.
