Camps

Imagination and Discovery: Heartsong Living Arts Summer Camp is more than just a camp; it's a journey of exploration, inspiration, and growth. With our Waldorf-inspired philosophy, we nurture the whole child, fostering their love for the outdoors, arts, and camaraderie. Our camp offerings are tailored to various age groups:

Kinder Camps have the following themes

Tuesday-Friday from 9 am - 2 pm we do crafts, sing songs, listen to stories, play on a slip and slide and play in the woods. Fridays at 2 pm the children put on a very small parade with face paints, costumes and singing a song from the week. Kinder camps are on site all week at Heartsong’s Farm Location.

Kinder camps are made for children ages 3-7 however are great for imaginative and innocent 8 year old’s.

  • Kinderforest: We welcome children into the magical world of our farm and forest – come explore our garden and forest spaces, gather wildflowers to make crowns, look for meadow fairies, paint with blackberry ink, travel along the seasonal creek, look for crawdad's, paint with mud, hear the tales and songs of the land that the crickets, frogs and forest sprites have to share!

  • Kinderforest:

Your little pirate will be swabbing the deck, following pirate maps and digging for buried treasure. Songs, stories, play and art will have them in pirate play land.

  • Come spend the week creating art & crafts from items in nature! Children will have multiple opportunities to create living art throughout the farm from flower mandalas, adding onto the nature loom and painting with stones and mineral pigments. We will also do several crafts and handworks such as dyeing with plants, crafting puppets, basket weaving, clay work, and more. All crafts and activities will be simplistic in nature and free form just as Mother Earth intended.

Adventure Camps have the following themes

We are really excited to center the elements of earth, air, water and fire during our 2025 grades summer camp explorations. All of our camps will bring together ecological observation, primitive skills, camp games, ancient elemental stories and song. Grounded on the rhythm of the Waldorf classroom while embracing the expansiveness of summer and the outdoors, these camps begin in circle and game, and transition to historically and scientifically relevant and fun locations on and around Mt. Adams and incorporate crafting and imagination all along the way. Campers begin and end their days at the farm.

Camps are from 9 am - 4 pm with extended care available from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
