Mission

The mission of a Waldorf education is to produce free-thinking, moral adults. This profound responsibility to the next-generation begins with a strong foundation in early childhood. In grades, we holistically engage all the senses to engage the curiosity, brilliance and innate wisdom of each child. With respect for the unique time of growth and transformation of children—head, hearts and hands—Heartsong mission is to provide a space of reverence and wonder within which children may grow and thrive in relationship to each other, adults, the natural world and the greater community.

How we are organized:

Heartsong is a Private Membership Association (PMA) comprised of students, alumni, and dedicated community members. and works through the Community Supported Education (CSE) Model. Similar to a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), families at Heartsong PMA agree to mutually support the education of children.. One way this occurs is supporting the care-takers of the children; another is through caretaking the land and educational community together.
